By downloading, installing, or using the ShillGuard Chrome Extension ("the Software"), you explicitly agree to the terms outlined in this document. If you do not agree, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue use of the Software.

1. AI Inference and Costs

ShillGuard does not pay for AI inference. Users must provide their own Gemini API Key.

ShillGuard is a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) application. Your payment to ShillGuard grants you a license to use the software interface and its local features. It does not cover the cost of the intelligence processing provided by Google's Gemini API.

To be clear: You pay ShillGuard for the tool (the car), and you pay Google (or use their free tier) for the intelligence (the gas). You are solely responsible for any and all costs, limits, or usage fees associated with your Gemini API Key.

2. Zero Liability

The Software is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The developer, creator, and owner of ShillGuard ("the Creator") assumes NO LIABILITY for any consequences resulting from your use of the Software.

By using the ShillGuard Chrome Extension, you explicitly agree that the Creator is NOT liable for:

  • 1Any account bans, suspensions, 'shadowbans', or restrictions on any platform.
  • 2Loss of reputation, business, revenue, or data.
  • 3Any costs incurred from the use of third-party APIs (e.g., Google Gemini).
  • 4Any bugs, errors, or malfunctions in the Software.
  • 5Any misuse of the Software for spamming, harassment, or illegal activities.

You are solely responsible for your actions and how you choose to use the generated content. ShillGuard is a tool to assist in drafting; the final decision to post and the consequences thereof are 100% yours.

3. Data Privacy

ShillGuard is designed with privacy in mind. We believe in local-first software.

Local Storage

Your API keys and settings are stored locally on your device within the Chrome Extension's local storage.

No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or sell your personal usage data, drafts, or browsing history.

Third-Party Processing

Content you analyze is sent directly from your browser to Google's Gemini API using your personal API key. This data transmission is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Usage Agreement

By installing and using ShillGuard, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Privacy Policy and Liability Disclaimer. If you do not accept these terms in full, you are strictly prohibited from using the Software.
